ADE 2025 Breaks All Records as Global Electronic Music Summit

The 2025 edition of Amsterdam Dance Event wrapped up with unmatched scale and ambition, cementing its status as the world’s pre-eminent platform for electronic music. Across five days, ADE drew over 600,000 visitors, featured nearly 3,500 artists, and spanned more than 1,200 events across 300+ venues throughout Amsterdam.

Massive Reach & Cultural Impact

This year’s ADE didn’t just grow — it exploded. The breadth of programming ranged from high-profile mainstream events like Awakenings at their new SugarFactory venue and large-scale shows such as Klangkuenstler at Ziggo Dome, to underground explorations in venues like SkateCafe, Garage Noord and RAUM.

Beyond the dancefloor, the conference side deepened its footprint: ADE Pro expanded to the Rosewood venue, ADE Lab moved to Westergas, and panels brought together heavy hitters from tech, music and beyond — Spotify, SoundCloud, Epic Games, Google DeepMind and more were all represented.

Diversity, Inclusivity & Next-Gen Focus

A key theme this year was cultural reach: the festival’s Arts & Culture programme was stronger than ever, supporting genres, communities and artists often left out of the spotlight. For example, the Honey Dijon × Audio Obscura “PRAISE” event at Nieuwe Kerk, billed as a “black queer church,” became one of the most talked-about highlights.

Looking Ahead: 30th Edition Set for 2026

With this edition marking record highs, ADE has already confirmed the dates for its milestone 30th anniversary: October 21-25, 2026. Organisers promise “special initiatives, partnerships and events” to mark the occasion.

Having evolved from a small gathering in 1996 into a true global force, ADE continues to shape how electronic music is created, celebrated and commercialised.
