Australian producer TAJ (AUS) is carving his own lane in techno, and his new single ‘Divinity’ marks another big step forward. Released July 13, the track captures everything TAJ has been working toward in his year-and-a-half journey as a producer: raw emotion, powerful sound design, and a vision that blends light and dark energy.
A Story in Sound
Divinity unfolds like an emotional journey. Uplifting and euphoric, but touched with bittersweet melancholy, the track tells a story of searching for love, secrets, and connection. For TAJ, it wasn’t about one single inspiration — it was about pushing himself further as a producer and translating emotion into sound. “Every track I make is a step forward,” he says. “I want each one to capture both energy and growth.”
Production-wise, TAJ experimented with layered synths and carefully balanced saturation and clipping to add warmth and edge, creating a soundscape that feels both intimate and expansive.

From DJ Booth to Studio
Before producing, TAJ spent three years DJing, falling in love with curating and blending sounds. That passion led him to invest in a 12-week one-on-one mentorship in Perth, which gave him the foundation to bring his own tracks to life. Techno is home base, but his influences are broad — spanning house, hip hop, reggaeton, and progressive — with artists like Regal, Bastet, T78, and ASY*S shaping his creative path.
His sound can be described in three words: evolving, emotional, contrasting. Euphoric openings, reflective breakdowns with breakbeats, and drops that deliver renewal and release — all of it tied together in a techno framework.

Festival Dreams & Community Roots
TAJ’s biggest festival moment so far was Blazing Swan, a Perth event inspired by Burning Man. The experience shaped his connection with crowds and his vision for underground parties. While he’d love to play major festivals someday, he’s drawn to underground settings and unique locations — places where music and environment fuse, like a Cercle set in ancient ruins or deep in nature.
Beyond festivals, he runs his own event brand Bailamos Party, where even a planned small beach gathering once exploded into a 500-person party — a reminder of the underground community’s energy and spontaneity.

What’s Next for TAJ
With unreleased tracks on the harder edge of techno already in the pipeline, TAJ is just getting started. Outside of music, he’s a personal trainer of 12 years and passionate traveler — with Bali on the horizon this November. And while his production catalog is still growing, his mission is clear: keep finishing tracks, keep evolving, and keep connecting with people through sound.
“I want fans to feel uplifted and renewed when they hear Divinity,” TAJ says. “Like the music gave them a reset, a new perspective. That’s the energy I want to share.”
