Willdabeast and Garlic Party Forge Mammoth Glitch-Funk Groove ‘Represent (It’s Gonna Be Alright)’

When Bellingham’s brass-wielding Willdabeast met Perth’s glitch-funk producer Garlic Party, something ineffable emerged. ‘Represent (It’s Gonna Be Alright)’, the second transmission from their forthcoming Willdabeast & Friends album, released today through Grand Alliance Music. Garlic Party’s path from heavy music through catastrophic injury into electronic production infuses the collaboration with authentic gravitas—a depth that permeates every glitched texture and bass-heavy pulse.

Will Glazier’s trumpet and Dan de Lisle’s trombone don’t merely accompany the electronic framework; they inhabit it, creating a groovey conversations between organic brass and Garlic Party’s meticulously crafted digital landscapes. The result transcends typical genre boundaries, appealing equally to festival bass enthusiasts and funk purists seeking something innovative.

This partnership reflects a broader philosophy driving Grand Alliance Music, Glazier’s imprint launched in 2023 to champion live-brass electronic artists. Having established their credentials as artists on Gravitas Recordings, Muti Music and Westwood Recordings—collaborating with GRiZ, Defunk, Late Night Radio, and Michal Menert ,while performing everywhere from Red Rocks to Shambhala with Menert—Willdabeast now nurtures a community-first ethos that prioritizes artistic integrity.

Recently from Margaret River, Australia, Garlic Party guides listeners through the Aussie raves from Valley Groove to Raindance Festival, where he created the festival’s artwork this year. Following Raindance, his journey will continue to Blossom Festival’s Pulp Glitchin Records takeover ahead of other festival headliners Morten Granau, Spoonbill, and Township Rebellion, adding to his stand out sets at Australia’s hottest underground events such as in the Millennium Falcon at Starship Trippers, and most recently opening for OPIUO.
