Avicii’s ‘Levels’ Surpasses One Billion Streams on Spotify

Avicii’s iconic 2011 track ‘Levels’ has officially reached a monumental milestone, surpassing one billion streams on Spotify. This achievement marks the sixth track by the late Swedish DJ and producer to cross the billion-stream threshold, further cementing his legacy in the EDM world.

In a statement shared by Avicii’s team on Instagram, they wrote: “This iconic track played a pivotal role not only for Avicii but for the history of EDM – remaining a timeless anthem that transcends generations and continues to captivate audiences worldwide.”

‘Levels’ joins the ranks of other Avicii classics that have reached this impressive mark, including ‘Hey Brother’, which hit one billion streams in May, and ‘Wake Me Up’, which surpassed two billion streams last August. Other Avicii tracks like ‘The Nights’, ‘Waiting For Love’, and ‘Without You’ have also achieved this significant milestone.

Avicii, born Tim Bergling, tragically passed away in 2018 at the age of 28, but his music continues to inspire and resonate with fans across the globe. Earlier this year, a video of his last-ever Swedish performance, recorded in Malmö in August 2016, was shared online, allowing fans to relive the magic of his live shows.

Additionally, a new documentary titled “I’m Tim”, produced by Academy Award-winner Lawrence Bender, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June, offering an intimate look into the life of the legendary artist.

To honor his legacy, a charity auction of Avicii’s personal belongings is set to take place on October 1st in Stockholm. The auction will feature 267 personal items owned by the artist, with proceeds going to The Tim Bergling Foundation, which supports mental health initiatives for young people.

Relive the magic of ‘Levels’ and revisit the legacy of an artist who changed the face of EDM forever.
