‘Bayfront Bark’ is a pet adoption event that launched last year in partnership with Miami-Dade County Animal Services and the City of Miami Police Department. Following the success of its inaugural edition, ‘Bayfront Bark’ is back in 2026 to support local animal welfare efforts and help connect adoptable pets with forever homes. Several adoptable animals will be present for attendees considering adoption to meet and play with. All adoptions are first-come, first-serve with a valid photo ID and sponsored by Ultra, so that they can be free-of-charge to loving families. Attendees can also bring clean, used linens and towels to donate to Miami Dade County Animal Services as these items directly support their Pet Adoption and Protection Center operations for use as animal blankets, towels or cleaning rags.

Long-time ‘Mission: Home’ partner Debris Free Oceans will join the fun this year at ‘Bayfront Bark’ to educate attendees on how pet owners can help protect Biscayne Bay and our community’s health by picking up after their pets. Debris Free Oceans will also host pet-themed games at their table, giving participants a chance to win prizes!

Additionally, a new partnership with Recircle Society, a Miami nonprofit dedicated to advancing circular fashion and reducing textile waste, is bringing their pop-up clothing swap to the pawty! Join in by trading clean, gently used clothing and accessories. All styles and sizes are welcome, and festival fashion is encouraged! To participate, attendees are invited to bring clothing and accessories in good condition to swap, and can take home up to the same number of “new-to-you” items.

Swapping instead of shopping helps keep textiles out of landfills and promotes the reuse economy, while also giving back to our community. Any items not swapped will be donated to Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique benefitting Lotus House Women’s Shelter after the event. Participants can also drop by the Recircle Society table to swap new or gently used dog toys and accessories, as well as unopened food and treats, that can be traded with fellow furry friends. All remaining items will be donated to Miami Dade County Animal Services after the event.

Also new this year, attendees will have a chance to win 2 tickets to Ultra Music Festival 2026. Entry into the ticket giveaway is earned by adopting a pet or being among the top swappers in Recircle’s clothing swap. The top swappers will be the five participants who bring the highest volume by weight of qualified clothing swap items. All items will be inspected to confirm they are clean and in good condition. Additionally, all attendees will receive free ice cream from the City of Miami Police Department’s ice cream truck and Ultra merchandise giveaways, while supplies last.

Continuing ‘MIssion: Home’s’ early 2026 momentum, Ultra’s sixth annual pre-event shoreline cleanup, ‘Making Waves,’ returns on Saturday, March 7th from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM EST along the rocks on the north side of the Bayfront Park water fountain. Participating local organizations include Clean Miami BeachDebris Free OceansLove the Everglades MovementPelican Harbor Seabird StationBye Bye Plastic Foundation and Miami-Dade County Sea Turtle Conservation Program. All participants in ‘Making Waves’ will be entered to win two tickets to Ultra and receive free Ultra merchandise, while supplies last.

In 2025, the cleanup kicked off with the honorary release of a rehabilitated native Laughing Gull from Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, a South Florida seabird sanctuary that has provided care for over 45K animals. Cumulatively, this event has resulted in the removal of 3,370 pounds of marine debris from Bayfront Park’s shoreline.

In further news, ‘Mission: Home’ has created a new fan-driven fundraising initiative in partnership with Fandiem to provide Ultra fans ongoing opportunities to support local community organizations. In return for donations benefiting local children and families in need at Lotus House , the largest women’s shelter in the U.S., fans are entered to win an exclusive Ultra Music Festival experience.

These donations help provide school supplies, uniforms, and self-esteem boosting resources for the shelter’s children. Participants are automatically entered to win an exclusive trip to Ultra 2026, including festival tickets, round-trip travel and hotel accommodations, official Ultra merchandise, limited-edition 25th anniversary accessories, premium viewing for one Main Stage set, a ‘Mission: Home’ sustainability tour, and a dedicated Fandiem concierge experience. This initiative allows fans to make a meaningful impact in the community while engaging directly with Ultra’s sustainability and social responsibility efforts.

Last year, Ultra became the first U.S. festival of its scale in more than a decade to earn A Greener Future’s prestigious “Greener Festival” certification, one of the industry’s most rigorous international sustainability standards. The festival was also named to IQ Magazine’s 2025 Green Guardians list, placing it among just 20 global sustainability leaders alongside Coldplay and Massive Attack. Additional honors include multiple Florida Festivals & Events Association (FFEA) SUNsational Awards and accolades at the World Sustainability Awards, which contribute to 11 total recognitions in ‘Mission: Home’s’ short life-span.

Since launching in 2019, ‘Mission: Home’ has educated 8.2 million people worldwide, diverted nearly 400,000 pounds of waste from landfills, and donated more than 84,000 pounds of food, beverages, and supplies back to the community. The program has grown each year, from 20 initiatives in its first iteration, to over 60 at the 2025 event.

Despite all this success, ‘Mission: Home’ has no intention of slowing down. This mix of new and returning initiatives underscore Ultra’s sustained commitment to protecting and giving back to the Miami community through meaningful local partnerships – setting a rare standard that has put the festival on the global sustainability map.

Now, as ‘Mission: Home’ looks toward 2026, Ultra Music Festival continues to demonstrate how large-scale events can serve as powerful platforms for education, environmental progress, and community connection—proving that entertainment and positive impact can go hand in hand.
