Insomniac Acquires Historic Avalon Hollywood Nightclub for $15.7M

Pasquale Rotella and Insomniac have taken a major step in securing Los Angeles’ nightlife legacy by purchasing the Avalon Hollywood venue for a reported $15.7 million. The property, spanning 33,400 square feet, marks the first change in ownership in 50 years.

Located at 1735 Vine Street, Avalon (also known historically as The Palace) has hosted generations of music icons—from Frankie Knuckles, Goldie, Sasha, John Digweed in its earlier eras to EDM heavyweights like Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Kaskade in more recent years.

This acquisition follows Insomniac’s earlier partnership with the venue in 2024, but now gives them full control over its future. With the takeover, the promoter cements its presence in the LA club scene and ensures Avalon’s legacy is preserved under its stewardship.

The renovated venue will not only continue to host major DJ acts but will also become a key stage for Insomniac’s own brands—Dreamstate, Day Trip, Bassrush, Factory 93, and more. upcoming bookings include Showtek, Drezo, Emorfik, Alex M.O.R.P.H., as well as a live set from Infected Mushroom on Christmas and Markus Schulz’s open-to-close New Year’s Eve.

With this move, Insomniac adds Avalon Hollywood to its portfolio of nightlife venues across the U.S., joining the ranks of Exchange LA, Academy LA, Echostage, Club Space and others.
