ØLVS Releases New Latin Tech House Track “Mosquita”

Producer ØLVS has dropped his latest single, Mosquita, released on August 15, 2025. The track stands out as a bold experiment in Latin Tech House, combining infectious grooves with a cheeky concept inspired by childhood memories in Curaçao.

ØLVS explains that while most of his tracks are in English — and some in Papiamentu — he wanted to create something in Spanish with a playful edge. The idea for Mosquita came from a conversation with friends about sleepless nights as kids, hiding under blankets from the high-pitched buzz of mosquitos. Learning that only female mosquitos make that sound sparked the concept, which evolved into a track designed to make people both dance and laugh.

For ØLVS, visuals are a central part of his creative process. He often begins by designing his own artwork, which becomes the starting point for production. From there, he builds with melody, kick, bass, and drums, leaving vocals for last. “What takes most of the time is finding the right sounds,” he explains. His upcoming single, “Rumbero”, was also born from a visual — this time a pigeon in town that looked, in his words, “like he just came from the afterparty.”

Music has been part of ØLVS’s life since childhood. At just 12, without knowing what sampling was, he experimented with three radios to record overlapping sounds. Though the result was mostly noise, to him it was magic. Life later took him into the corporate world, but during the pandemic, he returned to music through production classes and built a home studio. He has since been releasing tracks steadily for the past two years.

His influences range from Hugel, James Hype, and Diplo to global pop icons like Bad Bunny, Anitta, and Kylie Minogue. Recently, ØLVS has been inspired by the energy of Brazilian Funk, with artists like Pabllo Vittar on heavy rotation. Outside of music, he’s passionate about travel, with a personal goal of visiting 100 countries — already reaching 55 and counting.

With Mosquita, ØLVS delivers a track that embodies his mantra: music should always be fun. “If I’m not laughing about a silly track idea or moving in my chair from the rhythm, it’s not working for me.” The single is proof that his playful, colorful, and spicy approach to Latin Tech House is carving out a unique space in the scene.
