Skrillex And Slikback Unleash Experimental Collab “Kixa”

Skrillex has teamed up with Nairobi-born producer Slikback for a new collaboration titled Kixa, an experimental track that pushes sound design into chaotic new territory.

Available exclusively on Bandcamp, YouTube, and SoundCloud, the song strips away vocals to deliver a raw, percussive journey. Built on syncopated rhythms, abrasive drums, and a wall of distortion, “Kixa” recalls the claustrophobic intensity of early Death Grips, with a frenetic structure that constantly teeters on collapse while somehow holding together.

Unlike many instrumental tracks that lean on atmosphere, Kixa” demands active listening. Its unpredictable twists reflect Slikback’s Kenyan electronic roots merged with Skrillex’s bass-heavy experimentation, creating a piece that feels both globally inspired and deliberately unhinged.

On social media, Slikback shared his excitement: “Honored to share this one. A track with one of my biggest sparks to start making music. An incredible artist and soul.”

With “Kixa,” Skrillex once again proves his ability to step outside the mainstream while highlighting underground innovators like Slikback, offering fans a glimpse into electronic music’s more avant-garde edges.
